A local guide to Malta and Gozo

Maltishore is a working concept for a Malta-first discovery guide: practical island information, local places, and community events. The site is a publicly accessible static preview hosted at maltishore-islands.pages.dev, not a live directory, booking service or Android app.

The community feed and business directory are not open yet. No user posts, business listings or event claims are published. Event discovery links to official calendars; guide articles cite official or primary sources and flag time-sensitive details.

What this prototype stores

The prototype does not create accounts or send saved items, interests, hidden contributors or report notes to an Maltishore server. When you use those features, the browser stores the relevant items in its local storage on your device. The “Your data” screen can export this local data as a JSON file or clear the saved records.

The business enquiry form does not transmit or retain a lead. When submitted, it attempts to copy your message to your clipboard so you can paste it into an email yourself. Your browser may ask for clipboard permission. Do not enter sensitive personal information in this demo.

This prototype currently contains no Maltishore analytics, ad network, payment processing, account system or cloud synchronisation. If hosted publicly, the hosting provider may process routine connection data; its details must be added to a production privacy notice before launch. A future app/site may handle data differently; this draft must be reviewed and updated before deployment.

Sources, corrections and changing facts

• Stable country and heritage facts should link to an official or primary source.
• Transport, admission, fares, visa/entry, opening hours, sea access, weather and event information can change; confirm with the responsible official service before relying on it.
• Community contributions must be labelled as user-submitted until reviewed. Do not present them as official information.
• Business details require the business owner’s permission and a visible last-checked date. Remove expired events and process correction requests.
• Do not copy protected photos, event descriptions or other publications without permission.

A working correction channel must be configured before this concept is published as a public service. No real support inbox is configured in this preview.

Clear labels, honest measurement

There are no live paid campaigns in this prototype. The business page shows a visual example only. Any future paid placement must be marked “Sponsored” before a user opens it. Payment cannot buy editorial recommendations, positive reviews or an undisclosed ranking.

Partner reports should use aggregate views and voluntary outbound actions, not sell an individual user’s browsing history or target ads using precise location by default. Ad network integrations require separate account setup, appropriate notices and review of current platform policies.
